The Isle Of Eriska Lodge Spa & Island
Isle of Eriska is a real “get away from it all” vacation spot as mobile signal ranges from patchy at greatest to non-existent however the resort presents free WiFi so communication with the surface world remains to be potential! Our room was spacious, very comfortable but simply too heat for us – although there are days within the west Highlands when that may be welcomed by other guests. The quiet, plush drawing room of the resort is perfect for afternoon tea or catching up with the day’s headlines – in print, TVs are restricted to rooms. Almost taking second place to the panorama our food was really scrumptious and workers courteous and attentive. The highlight of our short break, except for Eriska’s chocolate truffles, was the view from the Cairn atop the island with two golden eagles circling effortlessly overhead one night – see blurry photographs!
Attention to detail not as excessive because the hotel guarantees. No mirror or plug level in appropriate place . Problems of laundry resulted in towels not changed and room not cleaned for a day . Decoration in main resort rooms requiring immediate attention.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant so I can’t comment on this. I always feel hotels like this sometimes attempt to be one thing they aren’t, but this isn’t the case right here as it matches for both service and services. The staff though eager to please weren’t as professional. Everything was great apart from the price of drinks. Significantly overestimated – my only criticism for an otherwise perfect three nights. I was especially aggravated that they don’t have any vegetarian choices at breakfast, regardless of having a vegetarian dinner menu. The only thing was the swimming pool space which badly needs a refurb.
